Manchester Divided!

Manchester United were thrashed 2-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in yet another horrendous show.

Erick Ten Hag's side were misérable on Saturday when they played a very calm Tottenham and they were punished for it .The red devils survived with a goal in their league opener against wolves but this time it was different as they were unable to get a point and lost their first away match thanks to goals from Senegalese Pape Mater Sarr and a grievous own goal from Lisandro Martinez in the second half.

Sarr broke the deadlock early in the second half with a composed close-range finish to score his first ever Tottenham goal. The host superiority was underlined as they doubled their lead late when an effort from Ben Davies hit Martinez on its way into the net.

United point man Marcus Rashford did not offer anything substantial to worry their opponents. He gave a disappointing performance failing to lead the line properly or play with any spark as he is usually known for. Rashford was one of the best players in the squad and one of the fans favorite but right now he is doing the least.

Perhaps they will have to rely on their newest signing Rasmus Hojlund who is still recovering from a back injury and his yet to make his debut to come to their aid.

Spurs' new manager Ange Postecoglou was impressed with his home debut match recording his first win in charge in expense of the great Manchester united. The Australian's side had to share points with Brentford in their 2-2 draw in their league opener but what a way to introduce yourself to the home fan if not humiliating one of the best in the business.

Manchester united will host Nottingham Forest at the Old Trafford while Tottenham will travel to the Vitality stadium to play Bournemouth.
