Messi Revives Argentina World Cup Dream!

Argentina's captain Lionel Messi had to step up with a heroic goal against Mexico to revive their hopes of getting out of the group after suffering an upset loss to Saudi Arabia in their opener.

 Argentina's were in jeopardy as they seem to struggle against the resilient Mexico who were also looking for their first win after drawing with Poland in their tournament opener.
Luckily enough their "Messiah" in a magical moment drilled a perfect shot into the bottom corner from 25 yard to break the deadlock.
Just when his county needed him the most,he showed his class and kept their world cup dream alive.

Messi's goal in the 64th minute was his 8th in the world cup for his country.
The 8 times Ballon d'or winner continued to impress by setting up an assist for 
Enzo Fernandez who scored the second late into the game to cement their win.
Argentina face Poland on Wednesday,a win against the polish will book them a place in the round of 16.

Kylian Mbappe scored a brace against the Danish to secure a round 16 place for the defending champions.
The Paris saint Germain star made it three goals in two matches as Les Blues broke the champions curse of not moving out of the group .

France become the first team to qualify for the knockout stages with a game to spare.

In other matches,Poland beat Saudi Arabia as Robert Lewandoski scored his first world cup goal in a 2-0 win.
Australian first half goal in the 23rd minute was enough to secure them all the three points against Tunisia.

The socceroos were lucky to have scored early thanks to Mitchell Duke header in the highly contested match as Tunisia went down kicking.
