Drama In Afcon As Referee Ends Match Before Time!

Crazy scenes were witnessed in Afcon group F opening game in Limbe on Wednesday as Mali picked up a 1-0 win against Tunisia. 
Serious questions will be asked because the final whistle was blown in the 89th minute. 


Zambian official Janny Sikazwe ended the match before 90 minutes elapsed leading to a fierce protest by the 2004 Afcon champions,Tunisia.

Ibrahima Kone's penalty separated the two sides while Wahbi Khaziri saw his spot-kick stopped by Bosso Mounkoro as the West Africans started their Afcon journey on a winning note.


Mali were however reduced to 10 men in the 87th minute when El Bilal was sent off after his boot caught Ellyes Skhiri just minutes after the restart of the game which was initially called to an end by the referee at the 85th minute.

The game finished after the second mistake, with around 17 seconds of normal time still on the clock, sparking outrage from Tunisia's players and coaching staff, who were attempting to overturn a 1-0 deficit.


Other matches 
Gambia's Ablie Jallow scored early as they made an impressive debut at the Africa Cup of Nations finals by beating Mauritania 1-0 in their opening Group F encounter at Limbe Stadium on Wednesday.
Jallow struck with a left-footed effort from the edge of the penalty area to put Gambia ahead after 10 minutes in their first game at the finals.
Gambia joins Mali at the top of group F ahead of Tunisia and Gambia.

Max Gradel's early goal was enough to secure the Ivory Coast a 1-0 win over Equatorial Guinea at the Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday but the minnows proved no pushovers in the Group E encounter.

Gradel, captaining an Ivorian team that had Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha on the bench, struck home a powerful effort from the edge of the penalty area in the sixth minute as they made a rapid start to the clash at the Japoma Stadium.
