End Of The Road For The German Machines!

The four time world cup winner Germany were eliminated at the group stage again despite beating Costa Rica 4-2 in their group E clash.

The Die Mannschaft tried to overturn the goal difference against them but the 7-0 goals Spain scored against Costa Rica were overwhelmingly too high to reach.

The Germans started the tournament on a low losing 2-1 to the group leader Japan in one of the surprising upset of the tournament.

They then drew with Spain before winning against Costa Rica hence gaining 4points(same as Spain) but the Spanish goal difference put them second.

In another match,Japan beat Spain 2-1 to record a 6points finish at group E.In a World Cup group containing two former winners of the illustrious prize, alongside two nations who are largely considered minnows in the game, the very real possibility that the two former winners could go out was simply incomprehensible. But alas, that reality came to be. At least for a while.

Spain strolled into half-time with a 1-0 lead and looked comfortable. However, a rally from Japan saw them burst into a 2-1 lead after the break thanks to the iconic Ritsu Doan and a rather controversial strike from Ao Tanaka.

Japan will face the much experienced Croatia at the round of 16 while Spain will face the fierceless Morocco.

Croatia, who finished second in 2018 after losing to France in the final at Moscow were able to finish second in group F after finishing goaless in their last game against Belgium.

The red devils(Belgium)were eliminated from the world cup after only gaining four points from their group F matches and finishing third just ahead of Canada who never got a point.

Roberto Martinez resigned after their elimination. The Belgian needed at least a win to be safe since they only had three points.Romelu Lukaku wasted so many sitters that left him and the whole team frustrated with the loss.Lukaku who started the tournament from the bench after sustaining an injury was really missed from the front but his comeback to the starting 11 turned into a horror show.

Elsewhere,The Atlas lions roared again with a 2-1 win against Canada and booking a spot at the round of 26.This win means that Morocco are the second African team to qualify for the knockout stage in this 2022 Qatar Fifa world cup.after Senegal.

Morocco advanced to the World Cup knockout stage for the first time since 1986 thanks to first-half goals from Hakim Ziyech and Youssef En-Nesyri paved the way for all three points.
