England Suffers A Final Defeat At Wembley
Italy won the European championship for the first time since 1968.Roberto Mancini side displayed a combination of resilience and tactical discipline Infront of the overwhelming England fans at Wembley.
The Euro 2020 final was a big step for England as they looked to end their 52 years international trophy drought but the Blues of Italy had their eyes on the price too.
England fans led by Prince William and the royal family rose to their feet barely 2 minutes into the game to celebrate a brilliant strike from Luke Shaw giving Garry Southgate's side an early lead.
England were more threatening in the opening minutes of the game forcing the Italians to make some dangerous clearance from their box.

However their breakthrough came at the 67th minute with an equaliser from Leonardo Bonucci.
The game ended at 1-1 even after extra time hence it had to be decided by penalty.It was the first final to be decided on penalties since Czechslovakia beat West Germany in 1976.
Gianluigi Donnarumma was the the hero of the night as he saved two England penalties en route to a 3-2 shootout win.
The Italian keeper saved kicks from substitutes Jadon Sancho and Bukayo sako as Marcos Rashford hit the post.
Federico Bernardeshi, Leonardo Bonucci and Domenico Berardi all converted for the Italians.
This win is highly celebrated in Italy after losing in the finals of 2000 and 2012.
Italy hero Donnarumma was named the player of the tournament.
