Leno Joins Injury As Arsenal Lose To Brighton!

Arsenal are yet to win a match since the resumption of  league after 100 day break due to the corona virus pandemic.
The Gunners lost 2-1 at home against Brighton, on Saturday encounter which followed only 3days after their defeat against Manchester city at the Etihad stadium on Wednesday.

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno got injured in the game after a needless poor challenge from Brighton's Neal Maupay's forcing him to be carried off pitch in pain. The forward then added insult to injury when he went on to score the winning goal for Brighton in the stoppage time.
Arsenal were the first to score in the 68th minute with Nicolas pepe shoting at the back of the net. However Brighton responded with an equalizer seven minutes from lewis Dunk putting the game 1-1.
Arteta's side played very well and tried to secure all the three points only to concede a goal in the last seconds of the stoppage time Neal Maupay forced a shot at the back of the net for the visitors giving them all the 6 points against Arsenal for the first time in their history.
Arsenal has lost three players to injury in the space of three days:Granit Xhaka, Pablo Mari and now Bernd Leno. The German goalkeeper, arguably Arsenal’s player of the season, twisted his knee after a bad challenge .
Arteta will now be without eight senior players for Thursday night’s trip to Southampton with Leno joining Xhaka, Cedric Soares, Mari, Sokratis, Lucas Torreira and Chambers in the treatment room. David Luiz is also on suspension after being shown red card on Wednesday match against manchester city.
After that lose, Arsenal hope to play in the champions league is very narrow, they are currently in 10th position with 40pints after playing 30 matches, 6 points away from 5th place Manchester united who are in the race for top five spot to secure a champion league spot. This is after the second placed Manchester city ban from the Eufa champion league.
