The Legendary Number 7 Back With A Brace!
Christiano Ronaldo made an impressive debut to Manchester United with two goals against Newcastle United in their 4-1 win at Old Trafford on Saturday.
The Portuguese international left the club in 2009 to join Real Madrid after winning three premier league trophies with the red devil.
He then went to Juventus before making his historic return to the premier league. The atmosphere ahead of kick-off felt more akin to a Ronaldo testimonial than a Premier League game. Thousands of people in CR7-branded shirts flocked to see the prodigal son return to Old Trafford.
The prodigal son left at only the age of 18 and has returned at 36-year-old better and more experienced than ever .
Ronaldo scored the first goal after Newcastle goalkeeper punched the ball on his runway giving Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side the much needed lead.
His second goal proved that he still got it even at his age , Luke shaw drove forward, and slipped the ball through him and he raced onto the pass and produced a neat finish through the legs of Freddie Woodman.
Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard both scored great goals to put the seal on a 4-1 win but they were mere footnotes in the latest chapter of Ronaldo's remarkable career.
