Image
Manchester City thrashed Norwich city 5 goals to nill in a comfortable Matchday two campaign. Pep Guardiola's side simply outclassed Norwich City on Saturday as they mercilessly beat them to earn their first win of the campaign having lost to Totenham Hotspur in their league opener. Norwich city on the other hand, lost back to back matches coming from a Defeat by Liverpool In their Matchday one. Krul's own goal and Grealish first City goal in the first half was joined with Laporte's effort from the corner to make it 3 nill before Rahim sterling and Riyad Mahrez came from bench to make it 5 nill. The newly promoted Norwich city only managed to get one shot on target as they find themselves on the defending end for the better part of the game. City reinstated their hunger for the league glory again as they came from the first lost setback to an impressive comfortable win at the Etihad stadium. SPURS HUMBLES CITY IN THEIR FIRST MATCH DAY CAMPAIGN

Image
The defending champions Manchester city lost 1-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in their opening game on Saturday evening. pep Guardiola side who won the league comfortably last season look short of a goalscoring threat on their day one of the title defence. City have lost back to back competitive matches coming to the Saturday game loosing to Chelsea in the Eufa champions League final and loosing to Leicester City in the community shield cup final. Last season, Guardiola's side claimed the title without a recognised striker depending mostly on their attacking midfielders, this season it might not be a walk in the park. Their most likely rivals - Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United - all won their league opener. Admittedly they had a much tougher start from Totenham than the other contenders, but they drew a big, fat blank and the reasons why were clear for all to see - the lack of a goalscorer. With the preamble to this standout fixture in the Premier League's opening ...

Manchester Hammers Leeds In The United League Opener

Image
Manchester United displayed an almost impressive one sided game against Leeds at the Old Trafford. The red devils hosted Leeds united in an early Saturday kick off, thrashing the visitors 5 goals to one. Bruno Fernandez scored a hatrick while Greenwood and Fred added salt to the wound to make it five. Paul pogba assisted four of them proving his quality to the United squad. Solskjaer said he had never heard Old Trafford as loud as it was for that Manchester derby, but he might have to revise that statement now. Manchester United fans were overwhelmed by their teams performance as they go to the top of the league table on match day one of the 2021/22 campaign. Other league matches Chelsea defeated crystal palace with 3 goals to nill in a match which saw Trevor Chalobah score his first Chelsea senior goal in his premier league debut. Trevor has been in Chelsea since he was a boy and now that he is a man it will be hard to leave him out of the squad. Elsewhere, Liverpool beat their host No...

NEW SEASON,SAME OLD ARSENAL

Image
Brentford made a clear statement with their return to the premier league after a 74-year absence with a memorable, magnificent victory over Arsenal at the Brentford community stadium on Friday league opener. Thomas Frank's men were vibrant, skilful and energetic proving that they didn't come to the top to participate but to win and win even at the expense of big teams like Arsenal. Sergi Canos broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute when he drove low past keeper Bernd Leno at the near post, although Arsenal complained bitterly that the ball had gone out of play in the build-up but the goal was allowed. Arsenal were toothless in their attacks not putting the expected pressure on the Brentford defence for an equaliser. Only Emile Smith Rowe truly rose above the dull Arsenal squad, forcing a save out of Brentford keeper David Raya. There was a slight improvement after the halftime with the introduction of Bukayo Saka causing problems, but just as it seemed like Arsenal could perhaps...

CHELSEA!! CHAMPIONS AGAIN!

Chelsea kickstarted the season with victory against Villarreal in the UEFA Super Cup final on Wednesday night,at the Windsor Park in Belfast. Blue was the colour at the northern ireland after Thomas Tuchel’s side picked up another piece of European silverware by beating La Liga opponents Villarreal 6-5 on penalties.  Hakim Ziyech's opener in the 27th minute was cancelled by Gerard Moreno's equaliser in the 90th minute pushing the game into extra time and eventually penalty shootout. Chelsea did a tactical substitution with goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga coming onto the pitch in the final stages of extra time to replace number one Edouard Mendy. The Spaniard justified  the decision by saving  a decisive penalty giving the blues the much needed win. This win means that the Chelsea boss,Thomas Tuchel is doing wonders with the blues after taking over as the manager in January. In this short time he has taken Chelsea to the FA final, won the Eufa champions league and the super cu...
