Ronwen Wiliams Shines As Bafana Bafana Wins Bronze

South African goalkeeper was fantastic again on Saturday night as Bafana Bafana won against the Leopards of DRC in an Afcon third place tie   at the Félix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan . Captain and goalkeeper Ronwen Williams were the heroes as South Africa beat the Democratic Republic of Congo 6-5 on penalties. After a 0-0 draw following 90 minutes in Abidjan, Williams saved spot kicks from Chancel Mbemba and Meschack Elia to give Bafana Bafana the bronze medal in Côte d'Ivoire. Before Elia had his kick saved, Siyanda Xulu converted to give South Africa what proved the decisive lead in the shootout. South Africa coach Hugo Broos believes his team should have scored especially in the first half where they had several chances. Lookman Scores As Super Eagles Flies High Into The Afcon Semis

 T he Nigerians super eagles soared so high as they overcame the highly motivated Angola to book a ticket to the semi finals. Ademola Lookman scored in the 41st min- ute to give the Nigerians the well deserved goal after  their skipper Musa was able to make an impressive run to the box before passing it the Fulham loanee who fired it home with a thing of beauty. The Super Eagles edged an entertaining match at Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium but they nearly went behind in the fourth minute through Mabululu but goalkeeper Stanley Nwabili did well to keep his close-range effort out.
